Interview with a Naval Commander, Flight Officer
On November 29, four of our team members interviewed a naval commander and flight officer, Commander Mike Thompson. Mr. Thompson has flown different planes, been on aircraft carriers, and worked at several secluded environments. He told us that he played card games in several occasions while working in secluded work places. Playing card games with colleagues help a person relax and promote good work morale. He took time listed to our invention, Magn-Card-A. He commented that our project, which is a magnetic playing card deck, is even applicable on ships or submarines. Although magnetic cards are not applicable on big ships, he said they are useful on smaller ships because they shift more. He asked us some valuable questions, such as how thick the cards are, and how easy is it to shuffle. He also suggested that because our cards are so thick, we should even make an auto shuffler. He gave us constructive suggestions, and we learned several tips from him.
